Is Christmas all about Consume?

I feel like last weekend Christmas season officially started. While I was strolling through the city I realized how all the stores had changed their assortment. Their was Christmas decoration everywhere, all theses beautiful plates, wreath’s, balls and candles. I felt the urge to buy everything but consume moments like this make me thoughtful, is Christmas only here to spend money? Buy decoration you only need once a year and presents that might be nice but nobody really wants or needs? Instead of consuming I kind of feel like staying at home and producing something myself. Like making a wreath, tree decoration, candles or just baking cookies. Don’t you feel great at the end of the day when you can look at what you did or even proudly present your result instead of shopping all day?  And doesn’t  baking and doing handcrafts totally get you into Christmas mood?

  4. I totally agree with you. Homemade Xmas sweets and Xmas wreath are always the best, but you must have the time to do it. I have been so busy at work this year that I gave up. I have no time and energy to bake or make the wreath…It is the first time that I appreciate that I can buy those things that we consider necessary for creating Xmas atmosphere.:-)

P.S. Love this dress on you and your eye make up!

  5. For me it is not about consume. It is about family, friends..a reason to spend time together and thanks to the national holiday, no stress about planning, everybody has time for it.

Btw., those earrings are perfect =)
    Have a great day,

  6. Lovely dress and jewellery 🙂 I like the idea of baking and giving people something you’ve made as a Christmas gift instead of buying something.
